The stage counters at the top of your Candidates tab were counting rejected and withdrawn candidates, while the Current stage column showed a dash for those same candidates — so the numbers never quite added up.
Both now agree: the counters only reflect active candidates, and rejected or withdrawn candidates show their outcome clearly in the stage column instead of a blank dash.
